Business Office

Welcome to the Treasurer’s Office. We have many and varied duties but the one that is probably the most important is that we serve as a conduit for the 1,200 churches of the Virginia Conference to get their funds where they want them to go in support of ministries beyond their local church and into ministries of the conference, the United States and 167 additional countries throughout the world.

David Dommisse is the Conference Treasurer and Business Administrator. Carol Crawford accounts for all the funds sent in by the local churches. Janet Davis is responsible for disbursement of funds and the conference payroll. Becki Stokes is the All Things New Receipt Coordinator. Carol Draper is the Staff Accountant. Shirley Huffman is a Staff Accountant. Phyllis Crow is an administrative assistant. Marian Loving is the switchboard operator and receptionist for the conference center.

Conference Fund Numbers
The attached document (pdf) lists the benevolences that the Virginia Conference supports.  Designate the fund number your church supports when you send in your monthly apportionment statement and include the donation amount in your conference apportionment check.

Group Ruling

The Group Ruling General Letter should be used by local churches who need documentation of our 501c3 Non-Profit status. Individual churches do not need to seek their own 501c3 filing.
If you need a letter specifically naming your church as included in the Group Ruling, you may submit Group Ruling Request – 501c3 Form to the General Council on Finance & Administration (GCFA) to provide you with a letter.
