Nancy Whitfield, Contemporary Worship and Music Consulting

Dr. Nancy Whitfield brings a diverse backdrop of experience in church music, with a particular interest in the area of contemporary worship. Having earned a Doctor of Strategic Leadership degree from Regent University, Nancy also holds a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness. Her research interests include the practical implications of leadership issues that worship leaders face.
She is experienced as a musician, songwriter, and staff worship leader in the United Methodist Church and believes in bringing a strong spiritual connection to the development of ministry areas and the worship experience. With her skills and background, Nancy may be of help to your church or religious group by:
• Assisting in the planning and development of a new contemporary worship service;
• Consulting with existing personnel on revamping or building on an existing contemporary worship service;
• Conducting team-building sessions with various related ministry areas of the church, including contemporary worship, sound ministry, musicians, and church leaders with a focus on discovering how God calls them to minister together;
• Presenting workshops on creativity, strategic thinking and planning, succession planning, managing volunteer staff, and valuing diversity;
• Conducting “master classes” for church musicians to build skill and teamwork within musical groups, thereby accentuating the talents and gifts of each member;
• Performing music or providing musical leadership for special events or worship services.
• Substituting for a worship leader so that staff leaders can take time away for rest and renewal.
If any of these areas are ones God has put on your “to do” list, contact Nancy at for more information about how she can help.
